The campers have had an incredible first week of camp here at SummerSault! The fun started the moment they entered on Tuesday and hasn't stopped since. Enjoy some photos below!
Welcome to the pool! During swim lessons, children develop safe pool behavior, adjust to the water and become more independent with their movement while swimming. New swimmers have been learning the basic paddle stroke and kicking skills, pool safety and comfort in holding their faces in the water while blowing bubbles and swimming. Children who are more comfortable in the water are working on their flutter kicks, improving their stroke skills, building endurance by floating on their front and back and learning to tread water. Enjoy some pictures below of our oldest campers swimming. The lions exploring rocks and science tools in science class. Puppies playing on the lego wall. Bunnies snuggling together to hear a story. Pandas building with magna-tiles on a light box. As we're finishing up our first session here at SummerSault, we are remembering all of the fun (and super busy!) days the campers have had so far. Our camp counselors work tirelessly to ensure that the campers have time to create, play, learn new things and make new friends. Enjoy some photographs below to show just some of the highlights! What an incredible six weeks of camp! We know our counselors were sad for camp to end and will miss your campers. Check our blog this winter for information for camp next summer. For now, we leave you with our camp song lyrics. Vocals were created by our campers at our end-of-season camp show. Enjoy! Summer's silly
Summer's fun Summer song for everyone SummerSault 123 SummerSault in summer is the place for me. SummerSault (clap 3x) SummerSault (clap 3x) I've got the sillies but it's not my fault. SummerSault (clap 3x) 123 SummerSault in Summer is the place for me! What a great second session here at SummerSault at The Town School! Some session highlights include:
* Learning our brand new camp song. Come hear the campers sing it at our camp show! *Celebrating July 4th with our very own "Red, White and Blue" Magical Monday. *Keeping cool on hot days by running through sprinklers on the roof or splashing in the pool. *Acting out stories and songs with Ms. Rush in Reading Readiness. *Continuing to make new friends! Enjoy these photos... For our second Magical Monday, Mario the Magician (http://www.mariothemagician.com/) performed for all of our campers. The gym filled with belly laughs and smiles as Mario performed many tricks, including making a bird appear out of a hat! Ask your camper what their favorite magic trick was. Enjoy the slideshow below! The Puppies, Bunnies, Pandas and Lions have been very busy their first days of camp. On Monday, we had our first Magical Monday complete with a performance by Ben Model (http://www.silentfilmmusic.com), Crazy Hat Day and Chloe's Frozen Fruit bars for all campers. Campers arrived with homemade hats, a whale hat, an astronaut hat and more. Every camper also created their own hat in art class with Ms. Tahmaz. With so many activities to enjoy, here are just some of moments we captured. Enjoy!
